Marino Institute of Education Conference Centre
The Marino Institute of Education Conference Centre combines old and new buildings and offers 20 well-equipped conference and banqueting rooms with capacities ranging from 2 to 400 delegates. At break times participants can enjoy walking around the grounds and finding nooks around the campus for networking and conducting lively discussions.
Location
Marino Institute of Education is located just off the tree-lined Griffith Avenue close to Dublin City Centre. Despite its proximity to the city centre, the campus at MIE has wonderful grounds with plenty of green space for conference delegates to explore.
It is a little over 9km from MIE to Dublin airport and the journey will take around 20 minutes in a taxi. The city centre is under 4km away and can be easily reached using the 123 bus service which stops close to the college entrance.
Travel
Air
Dublin is well served in terms of connections to all major European cities. Aer Lingus and Ryanair have many scheduled flights daily across Europe and these flights are complemented by other international airlines who fly in and out of Dublin.
Taxi
A taxi from the airport to the Institute should cost around €25 but this may vary depending on traffic. There is a dedicated taxi rank at Dublin airport outside the arrivals hall. Taxis from the Institute into the city centre will cost similar, again depending on the traffic. These taxis can easily be booked using the FreeNow App (https://www.free-now.com/ie/).
Bus and rail
The 123 bus stops directly outside the Institute and connects MIE with Dublin city centre and many of Dublin’s cultural treasures. Additionally, the N2 orbital bus route connects MIE with the DART (urban rail service) station at Clontarf Road in one direction and Heuston train station in the other. Clontarf Road station can also be reached on foot as it is just a 15 minute walk from the Institute.
A Leap Visitor card can be used to pay for bus transport (https://about.leapcard.ie/leap-visitor-card). In purchasing this card, you get unlimited travel for a selected time period on Dublin City Bus services (operated by Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland), Luas (tram), DART and Commuter Rail in the Dublin area.

Bike-sharing schemes
There are a number of bike-sharing schemes located in and around Dublin city centre. These bike-sharing schemes are for short-term urban bicycle rental. Some of these schemes cover the city centre area. However, Bleeper covers both the city centre and the area where Marino Institute of Education is located.
