Biography

Cliodhna is a qualified primary school principal/teacher and a lecturer in education with a strong understanding of the education system in Ireland. Through her teaching experience she has a keen awareness of both marginalisation and social disadvantage and how the importance of children’s geographies, the local community and the environment can vary across urban and rural contexts.

Currently lecturing across a number of modules on both the BSc. Education Studies (BSc. ES) programme and the Professional Masters in Education (PME) her areas of interest include educational leadership, community engagement, student voice and participation. She is personally involved in various community-based groups which aim to promote partnership, empowerment and participation for children and youth.
