Call for abstracts

The call for abstracts is now closed

We invite researchers, educators, and policymakers to submit abstracts for presentation at the National Early Childhood Conference 2026, a dynamic forum for sharing insights and advancing the field of early childhood education.  Join us in shaping the future of early childhood through research, dialogue, and collaboration.

Themes include:

  • Policy: Governance, funding models, and frameworks shaping early childhood education.
  • Pedagogical Practices: Innovative teaching strategies, curriculum design, and inclusive approaches.
  • Professional Agency: Empowering educators through leadership, advocacy, and reflective practice.
  • Partnerships: Collaborative models between families, communities, and institutions.
  • Transitions: Supporting children and families through key developmental and educational transitions.

Submission Guidelines:

Submissions are invited in the following categories:

  1. Paper Presentation
  2. Poster Presentation
  3. Workshop
  4. Practice-Meet

For paper and poster presentations abstracts should be 200–300 words, clearly outlining the purpose, methodology, key findings and implications for practice or policy.  Include author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and contact details.

For proposed workshops, abstracts should be 200-300 and clearly describe the workshop format, participant activities, intended outcomes and any special space or resource requirements. Workshops should be 40 minutes in length and aim to actively engage participants in practical, hands-on learning experiences.

The practice-meet provides educators with the opportunity to deliver a nano presentation (one PowerPoint slide presented in three minutes) highlighting innovative approaches to early childhood education. You may choose to showcase a practical activity you have used or share a personal insight. The session is informal in nature, adopting a show-and-tell style that encourages sharing and discussion. Abstracts for the practice-meet should be no more than 50-100 words and briefly describe the focus of the nano presentation, the key idea or activity to be shared, and its relevance or takeaway for early childhood education.

For all submissions, please indicate your preferred presentation format: oral presentation, poster presentation, workshop or practice meet. Please ensure to include author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and contact details.
